Why MSF Grants are So Compelling The results of each grant are seen and experienced in every classroom, benefiting every child in the district, enriching every department in every school. For a complete description and listing of our most recent grants, please click on the Grants button.
Our success depends on the generous donations of our supporters. The more monies we receive, the more grants we are able to fund. Since our founding in 1996, we have awarded approximately 300 grants totaling more than $2.5 million. Over 90% of all funds raised goes directly to supporting grants.
How We Fund
Operating Funds Each year we encourage teachers and administrators to apply for funding of creative, innovative programs and equipment that fall beyond the scope of the regular school budget. The awarded grants, funded by our operating funds are brought into the classrooms, where their power makes the teaching and learning experience even more stimulating and effective. The Mamaroneck Schools Foundation Endowment The Mamaroneck Schools Foundation Endowment provides a solid financial future for our rapidly growing non-profit organization. Please help make a contribution to the MSF endowment and help ensure that we can keep promoting excellence in our public schools. The Barbara Bennett-Rones Memorial Endowment The Barbara Bennett-Rones Memorial Endowment to the Mamaroneck Schools Foundation was created in 2002 by her friends and family. The Endowment is intended to fund annual grants to our schools in the areas of diversity, the arts, supporting students with special needs and community service development—all areas of importance to Barbara. Each year the MSF awards a grant with the money from this fund in her memory. Please help us to continue Barbara's passion by making a donation to her memorial fund.
The Diane G Millstein Memorial Endowment
Created in 2011, the Diane G Millstein Endowment was established by her friends and family to remember her passions and generosity in the Mamaroneck community. Consistent with her past interests, the endowment will fund in full or partially, programs that: aid students with special needs, reading and writing assistance, literary efforts, support individual type athletics (such as fencing, wrestling, tennis etc.) or assist girls in developing science and mathematical skills. A grant will be funded annually and recognized as a beneficiary of the Diane G Millstein Memorial Endowment. If your interests aligned with the Diane’s, please consider making a donation to her memorial fund.
