Mamaroneck Schools Foundation Enhancing educational excellence in the Larchmont/Mamaroneck Schools
Founded by parents and community members in 1997, the Mamaroneck Schools Foundation (MSF) helps fund innovative programs beyond the scope of the regular school budget in every public school in our district- Central, Chatsworth, Mamaroneck Avenue, Murray Avenue, Hommocks, and the High School.
Each year teachers, administrators and parents are encouraged to apply for grants to fund new and enriching programs, for their classrooms. Thanks to the generosity of its supporters in the community, MSF granted over $325,000 to such programs for 2005, for a total to date of over $1,250,000 in direct program funding, touching every child in the Larchmont and Mamaroneck public schools.
Foundation grants fund a wide range of projects, including teacher training, cultural enrichment, enhanced literacy, state of the art computer equipment, curriculum development, diversity awareness, and facility upgrades.
Mamaroneck Schools Foundation is made up of volunteer parents and community members who donate their time and services, so that more than 90% of funds raised go to direct program funding.
